My Story

THREE ON THE TREE FLORAL COMPANY

[THREE-ON-THE-TREE] NOUN

On an automobile (especially those produced from 1939 through the mid-1970s), a three-speed manual transmission whose gearshift lever is mounted on the steering column.

Where my love of tradition meets my love of all things classic (including cars).

The rest of my story should be no surprise if I start by telling you that I was born and raised in the Midwest by an engineer and a florist. My parents are the definition of the "do-it-yourself" power couple. It was by necessity that my parents learned to do most things themselves including but not limited to car repairs, restorations and house remodels and in so doing put their kids to work along side of them.

When exactly I fell in love with classic cars or flowers cannot be said, but how I discovered my love of flowers undoubtedly came from my mother! My love of details, people and planning and classic cars definitely came from my dad! Growing up much of my favorite time was spent with family working in the yard, going to car shows and planning and prepping 4-H projects for the county fair or working for my mom.

I had no dreams of becoming a florist like my mother but I always loved to help her when I could. After high school I fulfilled a life long dream of obtaining my Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Southern Illinois University.  Years after moving to Washington state and well into my dental hygiene career I found myself helping another friend coordinate a wedding.

During set up we were forced to rescue some struggling floral designs and in that moment I realized how much I missed it. Slowly, I started to dream what my future might look like if I incorporated floral design back into my life.

With the crazy never ending support of my husband Chris as well as some amazingly talented family and friends in the wedding industry Three On The Tree Floral Company came to be! Our love for all things wedding and design is as contagious as our gratitude for all the many opportunities we have been given that have brought us here.

Much Love,
